ndonesian Military (TNI) commander Gen. Moeldoko has appointed Air Marshal Dede Rusamsi as the new chief of staff to replace Air Chief Marshal Agus Supriatna.

Dede was formerly the deputy governor of the National Resilience Institute (Lemhanas).

Moeldoko said that the duty of the TNI chief of staff was to coordinate and communicate policies from the military chief, such as on the development of weaponry systems, across the military forces, namely the Army, Navy and Air Force.

Within three months, the TNI chief of staff post has been occupied by three different people: Admiral Ade Supandi, who is currently the Navy chief, Agus, who is now the Air Force chief,and Dede.
