The Purbalingga regency administration is preparing Rp 900 million to help small and medium gemstone entrepreneurs become more competitive. 'We're aiming to help craftsmen process the gemstones to add more value to the goods they sell. The administration will help provide the equipment to process gemstones,' Trade and Cooperative Agency head Agus Winarno said on Monday.
Your comments:
I want to start a business in Indonesia. I don't have the funds and it is something that has a lot of saturation but even though I don't have much knowledge, the government can fund me and buy me nice, new, fancy equipment. I promise to use it for a while, at least until my interests change and the government can support me in something else.
The government needs to stop funding any business interest someone has. It is just throwing cash down the drain. Have they ever heard of organization? There are those that would mine and sell to the processors. The processors would do their thing and sell to the wholesalers.
When I say processor I am not talking about someone with a rock tumbler who doesn't even know how to plug it in. I'm talking about a company that has invested its own funds into a company with multiple large tumblers, polishers and sorting facilities. Organize and let the private funds run it.
