T

he Education Agency is set to form a special team to prevent and investigate misdeeds among school principals, teachers and staffers in the city'€™s public schools.

Education Agency deputy head Sopan said Governor Basuki '€œAhok'€ Tjahaja Purnama would soon sign a gubernatorial letter to form the teams.

'€œThere will be 10 teams that will oversee specific programs, such as the KJP [Jakarta Smart Card], the BOS [school operational fund] and the BOP [education operational fund], among others,'€ Sopan said as quoted by beritajakarta.com on Thursday.

The team would be responsible for supervising operations and will take complaints from residents. The agency recently sanctioned nine principals and teachers for misdeeds, including collecting illegal levies and embezzling operational funds.
