Convicted money launderer, fuel stockpiler and illegal logger Labora Sitorus is back in prison after prosecutors from the Sorong Prosecutor's Office, assisted by some 720 police and Indonesian Military (TNI) personnel, arrested him at his home Friday morning.
Your comments:
Labora did make history. When he heard that a force of 720 police and army personnel were coming in for him, slowly but surely he surrendered; there was no way out. If he had to fight fiercely for his freedom, he wouldn't live to see his massive loot.
The two questions to ponder on are:
Is the government able to take away his ill-gotten loot of US$127 million? What will be the term of his sentence? More jail time to be added due to his great escape, or the 15 years originally handed down?

What a great story after all the brouhaha over Budi Gunawan. I hope President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo will award medals to all involved in this remarkable achievement. Using only 720 police and military personnel to arrest one man when it looked like it would require at least 10 times that number will almost certainly go down as the achievement of the year.
