In Central Jakarta, the law-abiding subdistricts included Kebon Sirih, Cempaka Putih and Kramat. North Jakarta'€™s densely populated Cilincing and Tanjung Priok are also surprisingly included in the list.

West Jakarta has five subdistricts in the list: East Cengkareng, Duri Kepa, Grogol, Kalideres, and Tanah Sereal. South Jakarta has Mampang Prapatan, Karet Semanggi, South Cipete, Tanjung Barat, South Gandaria, Pancoran, and Menteng Dalam.

East Jakarta'€™s Duren Sawit, Ujung Menteng, Cipinang Muara, Kayu Manis, East Pisangan, Jati, West Cakung, Lubang Buaya and Kepulauan Seribu'€™s Pulau Tidung are also considered as having a low crime rates.

The head of the ministry'€™s National Law Development Agency, Enny Nurbaningsih, said Wednesday the main criteria used by the ministry were how tax abiding the residents are, their narcotics use and the levels of crimes, domestic violence and early-age marriage.

'€œThe list can be changed. Therefore, we can revoke the law-abiding status if a subdistrict does not meet the requirement any longer,'€ she said in the Jatinegara subdistrict office, East Jakarta as quoted by kompas.com.
