T

he Golkar Party faction led by Aburizal Bakrie filed a report on Wednesday with the National Police against the opposing faction, which is led by Agung Laksono.

The faction's secretary-general, Idrus Marham, accused the opposing faction of falsifying documents to make sure that Agung's faction was officially recognized by Law and Human Rights Minister Yasonna Laoly.

Idrus was accompanied by more than 100 Golkar Party members at around 10:30 a.m. at the National Police headquarters in South Jakarta.

"We have reported 133 cases of forgery. There are some where signatures were forged, letterheads faked and there were even cases where papers were signed by legislative candidates from different parties," Idrus said.

He cited the example of a mandate document that was signed by a party member, RB Ridwan, who had died in 2012. (nfo)
