Yogyakarta-based pop-rock band Rigby has released its debut single, 'Tuhan Jangan Lama-Lama' (Don't Take Too Long, God), after joining the Universal Music Indonesia label.
'Since day one, Universal has shown an interest,' Dika, the band's vocalist, said, as quoted by kompas.com.
Rigby, which made the short list after the Meet The Labels talent-scout program, had a bright future, according to Jan Djuhana from Universal.
'Rigby is an interesting band. They make simple, pop songs with lyrics that are relatable for young people,' Jan said.
Rigby said that The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Bon Jovi, U2 and Aerosmith had played a big part in shaping its music.
