Bali Nine convict Andrew Chan was visited on Wednesday by family and close friends ahead of his execution, which is expected to be carried out in the near future.

Chan'€™s girlfriend, Febyanti, entered Nusakambangan prison island to meet with the Australian death-row inmate convicted on drug trafficking charges.

She was joined by the family members of Chan and the other half of the Bali Nine duo, Myuran Sukumaran, who were making their third visit to the prison island.

Febyanti entered the Nusakambangan correctional facility compound at around 10 a.m. local time and left the prison island at 2 p.m. She was spotted talking with Australian Consul General Majel Hind.

'€œWe all miss Andrew and Myuran. We will be here until the legal process is complete,'€ Chan'€™s brother, Michael Chan, told journalists.

Meanwhile, Febyanti, a Yogyakarta resident who reportedly got engaged to Chan recently, refused to speak with journalists. (ebf)(++++)
