he National Narcotics Agency (BNN) arrested three foreign nationals along with one Indonesian national on Friday for transporting and possessing dozens of kilograms of methamphetamine.
The agency said that the perpetrators and the drugs were found in two separate locations.
'The perpetrators were arrested in front of the Mercure Hotel in Hayam Wuruk while the drugs were found in an apartment in Gajah Mada,' BNN spokesman Sr. Comr. Slamet Pribadi said
on Saturday as quoted by kompas.com. Both locations are in Central Jakarta.
Slamet elaborated that the three foreign nationals were originally from Hong Kong but were using Chinese passports.
The perpetrators were reportedly caught at on 9 p.m. Friday when they were carrying three kilograms of meth.
Their capture lead the BNN to the larger stash of drugs found in an apartment soon after.
Around 44 kilograms of meth was seized from the apartment and the investigation into the case is being pursued further, with the four perpetrators currently in BNN custody. (dyl/nfo)(++++)
