fter being missing for two days, the body of Atih, a 40-year-old mother who drowned with her son at the Polor sluice gate, was found in the river near the Puri Mansion housing complex in Duri Kosambi, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, on Thursday.

The Jakarta Search and Rescue Agency'€™s (Basarnas) squad commander chief Teddy Halomon said that a local resident saw the body floating in the Angke river at 12:40 p.m.

'€œThe residents then reported the finding to us and recovered the body from the river,'€ he said, as quoted by beritajakarta.com.

Teddy said the body was found 4 kilometers from the incident side.

The accident occurred when Atih was driving a motorcycle with her 5-year-old son Fahri. The motorcycle drifted and hit an iron barrier on a bridge, causing Fahri to fall into the river. Atih then jumped in to save her son. Fahri was found dead a few hundred meters from the site.
