he Jakarta Police arrested members of an online prostitution comprising a pimp and six sex workers in Kalibata City Apartments in South Jakarta on Saturday.
Head of the Jakarta Police's Women and Children's Protection Unit V Comr. Rita Iriana said the police made the arrests after an undercover officer contacted the pimp, identified only as FMH.
'The officer added FMH's BBM [Blackberry Messenger] PIN code, which he got from a website,' she said as quoted by kompas.com on Sunday, adding that the officer was then given pictures of sex workers to select.
They later made an appointment on the ground floor of a tower at Kalibata City apartment.
According to the agreement, the pimp would bring a chosen sex worker and prepare a unit in a tower for the transaction.
'While the transaction was being set up, we arrested FMH,' Rita said.
She said the six sex workers were aged between 14 and 20 years. One of the underage sex workers, she said, was six-months pregnant.
