n Indonesian rescue team in Kathmandu, Nepal, conducted an aerial search over the Himalayan mountains on Sunday to locate three missing Indonesian climbers.
The three missing climbers had been identified as Alma Parahita, Kadek Andana and Jeroen Hehuwat, Antara news agency reported.
The team searched the Langtang area aboard a rented helicopter that departed from Tribhuvan Airport at 6:30 a.m. local time.
The team flew to the northeast of Kathmandu to Langtang at a height of 3,000 meters above sea level.
The team, however, was only able to use the helicopter for two hours because rescue teams from other countries were waiting to use it.
The team consisted of Indonesian Air Force Special Troop's officer Lt. Col. Indan Gilang, who is also head of the search team, Capt. Ario Suseno, Capt. Santoso, and Indonesian Foreign Ministry staffer Sabda Thian and a member of the Taruna Hiking Club, Benjamin Setiabudi. (hhr)(+++)
