he National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) is still searching for six Indonesians in Nepal, a week after the country was hit by an earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale.

"A team from the Indonesia Peduli Nepal [Indonesia cares for Nepal] group is still searching for the missing people," BNPB spokesperson Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said on Sunday as quoted by tempo.co.

According to the latest data from the BNPB, there were 66 Indonesians in Nepal during the natural disaster that hit the country on Apr. 25.

The true extent of the damage from the earthquake is still unknown as reports keep filtering in from remote areas, some of which remain entirely cut off.

The UN says the quake affected 8.1 million people '€” more than a quarter of Nepal's 28 million people.(+++)
