A student was found dead in a kiosk on Saturday afternoon and it is suspected that the victim had been raped.
The victim, a 27-year-old female, was found in the kiosk by her sibling at around 5:30 p.m.
"We are still investigating the death," said Bantul Police criminal investigation agency chief Adj. Comr Kasim Akbar Bantilan on Sunday.
The victim's body is currently undergoing an autopsy.
According to the victim's neighbor, the victim ran her own business to finance her studies and was on leave to recover from an accident.
