Foreign Ministry director for the protection of Indonesian citizens and legal aid Muhammad Iqbal said information on the identities of the arrested Indonesians was not yet complete.
'The Indonesian Embassy in Brunei Darussalam received notification of the arrest of the three Indonesians, two men and one woman, as they were carrying suspicious objects, including bullets,' Iqbal said in Jakarta as quoted by kompas.com.
The three Indonesians were on their way to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from Surabaya, East Java, on minor pilgrimages (umrah) via Royal Brunei Airlines.
'The Brunei authorities arrested the three Indonesians because they were carrying suspicious goods,' Iqbal added.
