Upon arrival in Ambon on Thursday, the President will issue directives to mayors and regents belonging to the Indonesian City Administration Association (Apeksi) in their annual working meeting in Ambon.
Jokowi will also inaugurate a number of infrastructure projects in Maluku before flying to the islands of Buru, Ternate and Tidore, according to kompas.com.
In Merauke, Papua, the President has been scheduled to launch a grand rice harvest before flying later to PNG for a state visit that is to last until Tuesday.
Jokowi's visit to PNG is meant to reciprocate one made by PNG Prime Minister Peter Charles Paire O'Neill, who met with Jokowi at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta last year. (hhr)
