The departure of a second batch of Indonesian humanitarian assistance for earthquake stricken Nepal has been delayed as the necessary paperwork has not been completed and is still awaiting clearance from President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo.
Team leader Eko Budiman from the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) reported the news to team members who were waiting to board at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
Humanitarian aid amounting to 34.7 tons was being loaded into a Garuda Indonesia aircraft when the postponement was issued.
Eko said the 29 team members were instructed to standby in Jakarta and wait for further development from a coordination meeting that would be held on Friday at BNPB headquarters.
Two other team members had left earlier for Nepal as an advance team.(nvn)
