Jakarta Police chief Insp. Gen. Unggung Cahyono said the police would deploy 7,610 personnel to anticipate the rally, in which 1,700 participants were expected to take to the streets.

'€œThe rally will be concentrated at the Hotel Indonesia traffic circle, the State Palace and House of Representatives on Wednesday. On Thursday, other rallies will be held in Ciputat, South Tangerang, and Depok, West Java,'€ he said.

Unggung said the police would apply situational traffic diversions at some locations, including on Jl. Gatot Subroto in Central Jakarta, Blok M in South Jakarta and Jl. Veteran in Central Jakarta.

'€œPlease, voice your aspirations, but we request orderliness. We are here to serve the public,'€ he added.
