tate Secretary Pratikno has called on the public not to make a polemic over the nine women appointed to a committee to select Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) leader hopefuls, but to assess them by their qualifications.
'The President appointed them based on competence and integrity. This is a matter of integrity, competence and expertise with various backgrounds,' he said after accompanying the President when announcing the nine members of the KPK selection committee at Halim Perdanakusumah Airport on Thursday.
'The President read the nine members' profiles and took two weeks to assess them,' he said, adding that the President would meet with the nine-member selection committee after returning from a working visit in East Java.
The members of the KPK selection committee are Destri economist Damayanti (chairwoman), constitutional law expert Enny Nurbaningsih (deputy chairwoman), criminal law expert Harkristuti Harkrinsowo, IT expert Betty Alisjahbana, criminal law expert Yenti Garnasih, psychologist Supra Wimbarti, public administration expert Natalia Subagyo, law expert Diani Sadiawati and sociologist Meuthia Ganie Rochman.
