The administration is set to launch the Lenggang Jakarta food court and souvenir center located in the IRTI parking lot at the National Monument (Monas).
Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama said 329 vendors would be operating in Lenggang Jakarta. All food vendors, he said, had been given professional training on cooking and sanitation by private firm Rekso Group.
He went on to say that all transactions in Lenggang Jakarta would be non-cash.
'All kiosks will be equipped with an EDC [electronic data capture] device [for payment]. The grand launch of Lenggang Jakarta will be held on Friday,' Ahok said during a brief visit to Monas on Wednesday.
