he West Jakarta Police nabbed an alleged drug trafficker, LT, 43, and confiscated 28 kilograms of methamphetamine in South Jakarta on Tuesday,
Jakarta Police head Insp. Gen. Unggung Cahyono said on Wednesday that LT was a girlfriend of a Nigerian drug trafficker who was still at large.
'The police previously nabbed five alleged drug users while they were consuming meth in the parking area of Mall Puri Indah in Kembangan, West Jakarta, on Tuesday. One of the users was a minor. [The four adults are] RK, 18; DI, 19; DL, 24; and RH, 34,' he said as quoted by tribunnews.com.
According to Unggung, the users told the police that they had received the drugs from LT.
Undercover police officers then made a transaction with LT in Mayestik Market, South Jakarta, where they confiscated five kg of meth from her.
The police removed another 25 kg of meth from her rented house in Radio Dalam, South Jakarta, later in the day.
LT was charged with Articles 114 and 112 of Narcotics Law, which carry a maximum penalty of death.
