AKARTA: The West Jakarta Police arrested on Wednesday five young people who allegedly killed two youths in a recent brawl on Jl. KH Moch. Mansyur in Tambora, West Jakarta.

'€œThe suspects are AS, 17, RR, 20, MT, 15, DI, 17, and WK, 20. They were arrested for fighting using rocks and sharp instruments that resulted in the death of Alamsyah, 17, and Roni Gunawan, 20, in a brawl on Sunday at dawn,'€ said West Jakarta Police chief Sr. Comr. Rudy Heriyanto Adi Nugroho on Friday as quoted by kompas.com.

The suspects said that the brawl broke out when the youths began mocking each other. The two victims died of stab wounds sustained when they tried to flee.

'€œThey had already prepared the sharp tools when they were hanging out,'€ Rudy said.

He said the police would involve the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) in investigating the case because the brawl involved minors. The police expect to arrest more suspects pending negotiations with the families.
