AKARTA: Surprisingly, soap opera actress Meisya Siregar has banned TV dramas at her house.

The mother of two said she made that rule so that her children would not watch soap operas at home.

'€œI told my domestic helpers not to watch those shows either because they have such a big impact on children,'€ the 36-year-old said.

Meisya'€™s move follows President Joko '€œJokowi'€ Widodo'€™s recent call for children to stop watching soap operas.

The wife of musician Bebi Romeo said she had also had a bad experience when taking her first child to the shooting location. '€œMy character was crying and my daughter thought that I was really crying. It took a really long time to make her understand,'€ she said.
