resident Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla left the capital city on Saturday to go back to their respective home towns in Central Java and South Sulawesi, respectively.
Jokowi and First Lady Iriana left for Surakarta in Central Java to attend the wedding ceremony of their eldest son, Gibran Kabumuning, while Kalla and his wife Mufidah Kalla and returned to their home town of Bone, South Sulawesi.
Jokowi and his entourage flew via national flag carrier Garuda at10:45 p.m., arriving at Adisumarmo International Airport in Surakarta an hour later.
Kalla was scheduled to visit a newly renovated grand mosque in Watampone, Bone, upon his arrival in Makassar.
On Saturday evening, the Vice President was scheduled to visit an old house belonging to his grandfather in Awangpone district, Bone, before moving on to his private residence in Bukaka subdistrict.
Tribunnews.com reported that Kalla and his entourage would fly by helicopter from his home village to Makassar on Sunday morning, and from there would return to Jakarta. (rms)(+++)
