orried by the health 12-year-old Akmal, who they said had discharged egg-like substances in Bungaya district, Gowa regency, South Sulawesi, his family sent him to a nearby hospital on Monday.
The incident caused a stir in Mangempang village where the boy lived.
Akmal apparently discharged the sixth egg-like substance on Monday morning after complaining about stomachache.
The substance, however, was not as big as the first and the second discharges, which were said to be similar sizes to ordinary chicken eggs.
"This morning he [Akmal] laid an egg again so I rushed him to hospital. Hopefully, his illness can be cured," said Ruslim, Akmal father, as quoted by kompas.com.
As of the afternoon, however, the hospital was still awaiting Akmal's arrival, as it was located 130 kilometers from his house.
"We have received information about this case but we're awaiting his arrival," said Abdul Rahman, one of the officers of the Syech Yunus Sungguminasa Hospital. (hhr)(++++)
