Greater Jakarta: Man dies with stab wounds after row

M

uhammad Muin, 27, was found dead in his rental room in a boarding house in Duren Sawit in East Jakarta at about 4:30 a.m. on Sunday after what the neighbors said was an argument with several men.

Neighbors said they heard a loud argument before they found Muin dead with stab wounds.

'€œI suspect it was murder because the next-door neighbor heard a loud argument,'€ a neighbor, NS, 30, said as quoted by tribunnews.com on Sunday.

NS said the next-door neighbor also saw several people come out of Muin'€™s room afterwards. '€œThe neighbor went to the victim'€™s room and the room'€™s door was partially open. Another neighbor woke up because of the loud voices and saw people run out of the victim'€™s room,'€ NS said.

The witnesses found Muin dead and his body partially naked with several stab wounds in his legs, arms and stomach. His private parts were covered by a sarong, NS said.

P, 56, another witness, said he saw blood everywhere in the room.

Duren Sawit Police chief, Comr. Johanes Kindangen, said that a preliminary investigation led to a suspicion that the motive behind the murder was a love affair. However, he did not give any details.
