he police ticketed a Porsche driver identified as Erwin Diansyah on Jl. Yos Sudarso in North Jakarta for having an unrecorded license plate.
'The car's license plate is B 555 BLA, which is not recorded in our data system. We have checked the ownership of the car. It belongs to William, a resident of Taman Palem Lestari in West Jakarta who owns it with plate number B 2666 BN,' Jakarta Police's spokesman Sr. Comr. Muhammad Iqbal said on Tuesday.
He said William came on Monday evening to show the original documents, but he was asked to submit them the next day because it was already late at night. According to Article 280 of Traffic Law No. 22/2009, cars owners who do not display original license plates are subject to a fine of
Rp 500,000 (US$38) and a maximum of two months in prison.
Previously, Tata Liem, the manager of actress Bella Shofie, claimed on Monday that the car belonged to Bella. Bella said as quoted by kompas.com that the driver, Erwin, was her employee. On Sunday, police ticketed the drivers of two Lamborghini cars on the Tomang toll road heading to Pluit because they did not have any car licenses.
