After days of much hype in the media, the first son of President Joko '€œJokowi'€ Widodo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, married Selvi Ananda on Thursday morning.

'€œI marry Selvi Ananda, the daughter of Didit Supriyadi, with a marital gift of a set of prayer paraphernalia,'€ Gibran said during an Islamic wedding ceremony.

The ceremony was led by local wedding celebrant Muktarroji, with the parents of Gibran and Selvi witnessing the occasion.

Jokowi gave a short speech after the ceremony, expressing gratitude for the smooth wedding procession.

'€œAlhamdullilah (Praise God), the wedding has run well with the prayers of all the people of Indonesia. My family and I convey our deepest gratitude,'€ he said. (ika) (+++)
