ANGERANG: Parents of state-run elementary school SD 3 Pabuaran Tumpeng in Tangerang, Banten, reported the school's headmaster to the Tangerang Police for allegedly sexually abusing their children.
One of the parents, Hasanudin, said on Friday that the number of the victims, students from the third to sixth grade, who were reported to have been victims of the alleged crime had reached 12.
Tangerang Education Agency head Achmad Lutfi said on Friday that the headmaster was undergoing an internal examination by the agency's primary education unit.
'If he is proven to be committing the abuses, the agency will dismiss him, while the Inspectorate and Employee Affair unit will demote him and gradually decrease his salary,' he said.
