argriet Megawe, the adoptive mother of murdered eight-year-old Engeline, underwent a seven-hour fourth questioning at the Bali Provincial Police headquarters on Saturday.
She was interrogated as a witness in the murder case, and as a suspect in a related child abandonment case filed by the Bali regional child protection commission.
Dion Pongkor, a member of Margriet's lawyer team who accompanied her during the questioning, said the police investigators had raised 53 queries during the questioning, which lasted from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Indonesian central time.
'The questions raised were on Engeline's activities the day she was reported to have gone missing, what shoes she was wearing, what brand, what clothes she was wearing and what color they were, and many others. She answered the questions as she best she could,' Dion said as quoted by kompas.com.
No questions, he added, had been asked related to police investigators' findings in Margriet's home.
The questioning went smoothly and his client was in good health, he went on.
The police, meanwhile, said Margriet's two biological daughters would be allowed to visit her on Monday. (rms)(+++)
