An Indonesian was arrested last weekend in Singapore for taking a high-value token out of the Marina Bay Sands casino.

The man, who was identified as Denny Nyoradi, was arrested at Singapore Cruise Centre, when he was about to leave the country, kompas.com reported on Monday.

The 35-year-old was arrested for violating the Casino Control Act, which prohibits taking a casino token worth more than S$10,000 (US$7,400) out of a gambling center.

When Denny was arrested, a token worth S$40,000 was allegedly found in his possession. During the arrest, Denny'€™s passport was seized by Singaporean authorities.

Denny is scheduled to attend a trial next week. If found guilty, he will face a maximum sentence of five years in prison or a fine of S$150,000. (ika)(+++)
