akarta Police chief Insp. Gen. Tito Karnavian has ordered the deployment of police officers to secure the home of Apip Julian Miftah, a Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigator who received a bomb threat recently.
'I have ordered local police chiefs to give him 24-hour protection. This is an order from the National Police chief; we will secure his premises until our assessment shows that a threat no longer exists,' Tito said as quoted by tribunnews, com.
On Sunday night, a bomb-like package was placed at the house of Apip, who is currently working on a number of high-profile graft cases at the antigraft body.
The antigraft body declined to speculate as to whether the terror threat had any connection to current graft cases being handled by Apip, adding that prior to the threat, the investigator had also faced some incidents of intimidation.
