he Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) has proposed senior politician Tubagus Hasanuddi and former lawmaker Eva Kusuma Sundari as candidates for ministerial positions in the event of President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo deciding to revamp his cabinet.
'Some of the names we proposed included Maj. Gen. (ret) Tubagus Hasanuddin as candidate for defense minister and Eva Kusuma Sundari as administrative and bureaucratic reform minister,' PDI-P politician Beathor Suryadi said as quoted by tribunnews.com.
Tubagus is currently member of the House of Representatives Commission I overseeing military and foreign affairs, while Eva was a former member of the House Commission III overseeing legal affairs.
Jokowi has indicated that he is likely to reshuffle his working cabinet soon as a result of worsening economic conditions.
The President indirectly expressed his disappointment with his economic ministers' performance, especially after seeing the slowing down of economic growth in the first semester.
