he Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) has proposed senior politician Tubagus Hasanuddi and former lawmaker Eva Kusuma Sundari as candidates for ministerial positions in the event of President Joko '€œJokowi'€ Widodo deciding to revamp his cabinet.

'€œSome of the names we proposed included Maj. Gen. (ret) Tubagus Hasanuddin as candidate for defense minister and Eva Kusuma Sundari as administrative and bureaucratic reform minister,'€ PDI-P politician Beathor Suryadi said as quoted by tribunnews.com.

Tubagus is currently member of the House of Representatives Commission I overseeing military and foreign affairs, while Eva was a former member of the House Commission III overseeing legal affairs.

Jokowi has indicated that he is likely to reshuffle his working cabinet soon as a result of worsening economic conditions.

The President indirectly expressed his disappointment with his economic ministers'€™ performance, especially after seeing the slowing down of economic growth in the first semester.
