he South Jakarta Immigration Office has arrested seven Nigerians with incomplete or expired immigration documents during a recent raid in Setiabudi, South Jakarta.
'We found them without stay permits or with expired permits,' the Office's head for surveillance and action, Toto Suryanto, said, as quoted by Antara news agency on Wednesday.
Toto said that the seven people were undergoing interrogation to ensure they had not been involved in criminal activity during their stay in Indonesia.
During the raid, Toto said, the immigration officers found nothing to raise suspicion. However, according to Toto, the seven Nigerians were still guilty of violating the 2011 Law on immigration. (ika)(++++)
