Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama says he plans to remove South Jakarta mayor Syamsuddin Noor sometime soon.
He said he made the decision after realizing that many subdistrict leaders in South Jakarta had failed to comply with his instruction to regulate street vendors in the municipality.
'I asked [the mayor] to encourage the subdistrict leaders but they failed to comply,' he said at City Hall on Monday.
Your comments:
Excellent! Finally a government employee who demands work from others in the administration.
Let Ahok be an example for other high government officials to follow!
'Needed someone who could work instead of someone who was pleasant.' Practically the whole government needs people to 'work' but most importantly work honestly and for the people, not like the police.
Although he would be great as Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) head, the police and other political parties would sabotage him and ensure he got locked up.
He already is embarrassing the Indonesian government because he actually gets things done, unlike the other government employees and elected officials.

Love it when heads roll... Ahok for new KPK head.
