"We want the Supreme Audit Agency's (BPK) audit to be followed up by investigations into the Jakarta governor and the management of Sumber Waras Hospital," said Amir at the KPK building on Thursday as quoted by kompas.com.

He said there are several factors that raise suspicions regarding corruption. One of them is that the land was priced at Rp 755 billion (US$54.4 million).

According to Amir, this price did not use a proper valuation mechanism and was based on a closed meeting between Ahok and the hospital's management.

"There should be a socialization process and other [things] that take around three months time. But it was decided directly by the governor in just one day," said Amir.

Amir said he had listed many of Ahok's violations, regarding rules and regulations, all of which were still left unaddressed.

"But the Legislative Council (DPRD) is weak and there are many reasons given by the governor. So I think the [case on] Sumber Waras should be followed up," said Amir. (kes)(++++)
