Has the overly ambitious and exceptionally short-sighted Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry taken a very good look at the way most of us Indonesians treat our environment and handle trash and garbage? So far, after 70 years of âlibertyâ, we are coming close to destroying our environment, in spite of the so-called âgood intentionsâ with no actual follow-up

So far, after 70 years of 'liberty', we are coming close to destroying our environment, in spite of the so-called 'good intentions' with no actual follow-up.
As for the way trash and garbage are handled: a very large number of my fellow Indonesians throw it about with joyous abandon, even from luxury cars, though the occupants of those cars are supposed to be better educated than most.
As long as the people in our country haven't absolutely realized yet that cleanliness really is next to godliness, and the handling of nuclear energy requires the appropriate extensive knowledge as well as the strict discipline that comes with it, giving Indonesia nuclear energy would be tantamount to handing a jar of nitroglycerine to a 3-year-old baboon.
