Forty-two people were injured after two commuter line trains collided at Juanda Station in Central Jakarta on Wednesday.

State railway company PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek (KCJ) spokesperson Eva Chairunnisa said that the company was still investigating the causes of the collision of trains KRL 1154 and KRL 1156, which served the same Jakarta-Bogor route, at 3:37 p.m.

'€œAccording to the preliminary report, KRL 1156 hit the rear of KRL 1154,'€ Eva said as quoted by tempo.co, adding that the company focused on the evacuation of the injured passengers following the accident.

Some 42 people were reportedly injured and had been rushed to Husada Hospital in West Jakarta, Gatot Subroto Army Hospital, Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital and Tarakan Hospital in Central Jakarta. (edn)
