Guess what?: Chicco looks for challenging roles

A

fter winning the Citra Award for best actor at the 2014 Indonesian Film Festival (FFI), actor Chicco Jerikho is flying high, appearing in several films this year.

He starred in Filosofi Kopi earlier this year, and will star in Garin Nugroho'€™s Ach'€¦ Aku Jatuh Cinta (Ach'€¦ I'€™m in Love), set to hit theaters on Nov. 5, and Endri Pelita'€™s Negeri van Oranje, which is slated for release on Dec. 23.

'€œIt'€™s not about being ambitious, but more about finding challenges in every character that I get,'€ Chicco said as quoted by tribunnews.com.

The 31-year-old said that he had been quite selective in choosing film roles, refusing to take on roles similar to his previous characters.

'€œAn actor starts working not when he'€™s in the frame, but when he'€™s conducting research for that character,'€ he said.
