The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) is urging Jakartans to prepare themselves with umbrellas and rain coats as it predicts that rain will pour over Jakarta and its surrounding areas on Friday from morning until night.

The agency predicts that in the morning, light rain will pour over the city. The agency said as reported by tempo.com that neighboring areas like Tangerang, Bekasi and Depok would also see light intensity rain during the day.

Bogor will have a cloudy morning while Jakarta's Thousand Islands regency will see medium-intensity rain.

Light rain will fall over Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang and Depok in the afternoon while Bekasi will see medium-intensity rainfall.

At night, light rain will continue to pour over several areas in the capital such East Jakarta and West Jakarta. Meanwhile, North Jakarta, South Jakarta, Tangerang, Depok and Bogor will see cloudy nights.

The temperature in Jakarta on Friday will be 23 to 33 degrees Celsius. (rin)
