ctor Chicco Jerikho has reason to be selective when it comes to accepting the film roles that are offered to him. During the past nine years, including the recent films Aach'¦ Aku Jatuh Cinta (Chaotic Love Poems) and A Copy of My Mind, he has only acted in a dozen films.
'I take a look at the story and the character to know whether it is different from the previous characters,' he said as quoted by tabloidnova.com at the MNC Financial Center Food Court in Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta.
Chicco, who elbowed his way in the entertainment industry by taking on roles in a number of soap opera productions, believes that acting should go beyond delivering dialogues and building a character that meets the film director's expectations.
'Every character is a process, part of a journey that becomes my inner experience as an actor. That is what I am looking for,' he said.
