L

itter makes actress Davina Veronica heartbroken.

'€œI often travel in the country and every time I see litter I feel sad,'€ she said as reported by tribunnews.com on Thursday.

She recently visited a beach, famous as a tourist destination.

'€œI planned to run along the beach, but seeing the litter, I spent the whole day picking it all up.'€

Davina said the government should provide more trash bins in public areas to stop littering.

The 37-year-old also took part in the government campaign to reduce the use of plastic bags.

Starting on Feb. 21, shoppers will have to pay for plastic grocery bags.

'€œI think each plastic bag should be priced at Rp 100,000 [US$7.44] so people will bring their own shopping bags.'€
