It is traditional, during the Idul Fitri holiday, to hand out cash, especially Rp 2,000 (15 US cents), Rp 5,000, Rp 10,000 and Rp 20,000 notes, to children and family members. In West Java alone, BI has prepared Rp 16.47 trillion in cash for next month’s holiday.(JP/Arya Dipa)
