egendary Japanese animator and movie director Hayao Miyazaki will return from his retirement to make his last feature film, the Antara news agency reported. In 2013, he said he would no longer make feature films so he could focus on smaller projects.
Kotako and Anime News Network reported that the Oscar winner announced his decision recently during a TV show called Hayao Miyazaki: The Man Who Is Not Done. Miyazaki said he was not satisfied with the 12-minute film entitled Kemushi no Boro (Boro the Caterpillar) that he was working on and wanted to change it into a feature film.
Kemushi no Boro was previously created for the Ghibli Museum, which was opened in Tokyo in 2001 and exhibited properties from Ghibli Studio, which was founded by Miyazaki.
The studio has produced numerous films, including the award-winning Spirited Away, Castle in the Sky, My Neighbor Totoro and Howl’s Moving Castle.
