rvanto Hendra Pambudi denied he had a role in the alleged rigging of a tender that eventually saw Percetakan Negara RI state printing company (PNRI) win the e-ID project.

Irvanto, who is the nephew of House Speaker Setya Novanto, said he met Andi Agustinus aka Andi Narogong, who allegedly orchestrated the project’s bidding, through Vidi, a former classmate and Andi’s brother.

He made the statement while giving testimony as a witness in the trial of the e-ID case defendants, former Home Ministry officials Irman and Sugiharto, on Thursday.

Irvanto is the director of PT Murakabi Sejahtera, a security printing company part of the Murakabi consortium that bid against PNRI and the Asragraphia consortium to win the project with the ministry in 2011.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) alleges the tender was rigged in favor of PNRI. The orchestration was allegedly led by Andi, according to the indictment. (dis/bbs)
