View all search resultsProperty developer Century21 Metro has clarified an issue about plan to sell Senayan City shopping center and apologized to the mall's operator, the company has said in a statement.
roperty broker Century21 Metro says it is has no intention to sell Senayan City shopping center and apologized to the mall's operator.
An advertisement posted on property marketplace website Rumah123.com said the mall, situated on Jl. Asia Afrika in Central Jakarta, would be sold for Rp 5.5 trillion (US$ 408.25 million).
"We were not aware that our agent Syafa Dyfa set up an advertisement to sell it. We just realized it when the legal team from Senayan City’s operator contacted us," Century21 Metro vice principal Yohan Yan said on Friday, according to kontan.co.id.
Yohan claimed that the advertisement was solely an initiative from Syafa and she had not consulted with the mall's management.
Yohan said his company had responded to a legal notice launched by the operator, PT Manggala Gelora Perkasa, and pledged to resolve the issue immediately.
Meanwhile, Syafa admitted to having set up the advertisement on her own after seeing a WhatsApp message that informed her that the mall was for sale.
"I set up the advertisement because of my instinct as a marketer to seek an opportunity. My mistake is that I failed to seek clarification and confirmation from the relevant party," she said. (fac)
