Jakarta City Secretary Saefullah, who coordinated the tea walk, said the annual event was funded by the city budget. This year, the administration had set aside Rp 225 million (US$16,649) for the activity.
“Besides going on the tea walk, you can also participate in another physical activity, like playing futsal or volleyball here," Saefullah told the civil servants who had gathered for the event.
Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno also attended the event along with their families.
Saefullah said it was the first time in five years that a governor and deputy governor had attended the event.
Anies intends to attend the activity every year from now on, as it was beneficial in strengthening the bond among Jakarta's civil servants.
"We will see, it is either me or Pak Sandiaga who will attend this event every year," he said.
