nternational tourists seeking to view the expanse of Japan's capital city from above can do so from the top floor of the world’s second tallest structure, Tokyo Sky Tree.

A Fast Skytree Ticket allows visitors onto the Tembo Deck on floor 350 and travel to Tembo Galleria on floor 450 without having to queue to purchase another ticket.

At Tembo Deck, visitors can enjoy café refreshments with a 360-degree view of the city. Those who want to shop and dine can go to floor 345 or floor 340. Visitors seeking a more extreme experience can walk on the sky at Tembo Galleria on floor 445 to head to the summit at Sorakara point located on floor 450.

Tokyo Sky Tree is the world’s second tallest tower after Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Currently the tallest building in Japan, the structure is 634 meters tall, 200 meters shorter than Burj Khalifa. Aside from serving as a broadcasting and observation structure, Tokyo Sky Tree has become a notable landmark that is frequently visited by tourists.

The ticket booth opens daily from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. To enjoy the Fast Skytree Ticket offer, international visitors will need to head to the exclusive ticket counter. The ticket is sold at ¥ 4,000 (US$39.27) for adults and ¥ 2,000 for children aged 4-11 years. Visitors can also buy a single entry ticket to the Tembo Deck for ¥ 2,060 or to Tembo Galleria for ¥ 1,030.

“The new ticket has improved convenience for inbound tourists visiting Tokyo Sky Tree,” Tokyo Sky Tree management said, adding that the offer was introduced in response to the increasing number of visitors, from 6.8 percent in 2013 to 15.4 percent in 2015. (kes)
