As public awareness of environmental conservation steadily increases, eco-friendly labels are beginning to push their products into various markets, including transportation.
Manufacturers have started producing environmentally friendly cars powered by electrical energy, giving way to the rise of electric vehicles (EV) worldwide. One of them is Switch Mobility, an electric vehicle manufacturer based in the United Kingdom.
Four years before the mass adoption of electric cars in 2018, Switch Mobility launched the first British-built pure electric public bus onto the streets of London. Since then, Switch Mobility has put over 300 electric buses onto roads worldwide. With over 500 electric buses currently on order through 2021 and into 2022, Switch Mobility is expanding further in the international market.

Switch owes its success to careful flagship product preparation and its dedicated team. The company itself gains its innovative EV elements from Ashok Leyland, the fourth-largest bus manufacturer globally, and Optare, a British bus manufacturer with more than a century of expertise in incorporating the latest technological advancements in bus design.
Most importantly, Switch has demonstrated its position as one of the most reliable EV manufacturers through its participation at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow.
"We are very proud to be one of the few transportation companies to take part in COP26. This is proof that we as a company as well as a manufacturer of zero-emission vehicles take this opportunity to demonstrate our role in helping cities around the world shift to zero-carbon mobility." said Dr. Andy Palmer, CEO and executive vice chairman of Switch Mobility.
Switch Mobility has also revealed its plans to provide clean zero-carbon solutions and accelerate the transition to zero-emission transportation in other countries, including Indonesia. Switch ensures that it already has resources to support its strategy in Indonesia while highlighting its best-in-class cost models and ability to support large-scale EV development to local partners.
