Ultimate fertility services: Morula IVF Indonesia builds trust among couples

T

he Morula IVF Jakarta Clinic at Bunda Jakarta Hospital is part of Morula IVF Indonesia, the biggest fertility clinic in Indonesia. Demand for in vitro fertilization (IVF) has increased in Indonesia, with 10,000 IVF cycles recorded last year.

In the 21 years since its establishment, Morula IVF Indonesia has grown into the most experienced private fertility services provider in the country. While Morula IVF Indonesa controls 40 percent of the Indonesian market, Indonesian fertility patients still dominate the Southeast Asian IVF market because of the perception that fertility services at home are improper and expensive.

Hiowever, the perception is based on an incomplete comparison, given that seeking fertility treatment outside Indonesia incurs extra costs for travel and accommodation. It also excludes considerations of time spent abroad during the IVF cycle. Finally, a patient spends nearly the same amount on fertility treatment whether at home or abroad, which ranges from Rp 80 million to Rp 90 million.

Morula IVF at Bunda Jakarta Hosptial

The Morula IVF Jakarta Clinic provides proportional, professional and transparent services and is recognized by Australia’s Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee (RTAC). Its IVF success rate of 58 percent for women under 38 and its multiple birth rate of below 5 percent testify to the clinic’s success in reducing complications of pregnancy, such as premature births.

The clinic’s use of the latest assisted reproductive technology (ART) has helped improve and expand the services it offers:

1. PGT-A

Preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A) screens embryos for any genetic defects all 24 chromosomes prior to implantation to improve pregnancy and live birth rates. The use of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) on preimplantation embryos has greatly improved the success rate of the clinic’s IVF program.

2. ICSI and IMSI

Another sophisticated technique is intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), an IVF procedure in which a single sperm cell is injected directly into the cytoplasm of an egg. The technique helps reduce rejection of the sperm, and is different from conventional techniques that use as many as 40,000 sperm cells to fertilize one egg, which can still result in fertilization failure.

A more advanced technique than ICSI is intracytoplasmic morphologically selected sperm injection (IMSI). It is similar to ICSI, with the difference that IMSI aids in sperm selection using a special microscope that has a high magnification of ×6,000, compared to the ×40 magnification used in ICSI. IMSI can detect any defects in the sperm cells to select the best sperm for fertilization.

Malformed sperm cells cause poor embryo development and result in fertilization failure.

3.  Time-lapse imaging (TLI)

Time-lapse imaging, also called time-lapse technology (TLT), provides high quality images of embryo development monitored in real time, alleviating the need to remove embryos from the stable environment of the incubator for manual microscopy. This allows the observation of important developmental events, helping to identify healthy embryos that present the highest probability of successful implantation for higher pregnancy rates. TLI also aids in assessing incubation and embryo development for couples who have opted for the ICSI procedure.

4.   ERA (Endometrial Receptivity Analysis)

ERA is a new service offered at Morula IVF Jakarta. The genetic test checks the uterine lining to see whether it is properly developed for implanting an embryo. ERA is provided for fertility patients who have experienced repeated fertilization failure that cannot be attributed to poor embryo quality.

Morula IVF Jakarta also provides additional services for couples who are not experiencing infertility issues:

1. Gender Selection

For couples who want a second child of a specific gender

2. Egg Banking

For women or couples who are delaying having children for personal or medical reasons, this service retrieves eggs from the woman’s ovaries that are then frozen for future IVF treatment.

Morula IVF Jakarta provides premier services and has recently been equipped with a new treatment room. The fertility clinic also provides free daily programs in IVF education and counseling.

The clinic is now offering its 2019 yearend promotional program, "My IVF, My Choice", to current and future patients seeking affordable, premier fertility services to help them meet their 2019 family planning goals. The promotional program runs from Oct. 16 to Dec. 31 and offers a discount of Rp 20 million for ovarian stimulation drugs, IMSI and PGT-A, and embryo transfer (implantation) in the IVF program.

Morula IVF Jakarta is offering an exclusive online promotional package on Oct. 10 ranging from Rp 789,000 to Rp 2 million for Basic Fertility Screening (BFS) to mark National Online Transactions Day (Harbolnas). The online promotional package is available for a consultation with a Morula IVF obstetrician-gynecologist (ob-gyn), ultrasonography (USG) monitoring and sperm DNA fragmentation testing.

The Morula IVF Jakarta clinic aligns with the mission of the Bundamedik Healthcare System (BMHS) in providing the best services for our patients. The BMHS comprises 5 Bunda hospitals, 10 Morula IVF clinics and 5 diagnostic laboratories located in Jakarta, Tangerang and Depok, as well as in Padang, Bandung, Pontianak, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Bali and Makassar.
